The hospital was opening a new branch and starting from a blank slate: no existing network, no security stack, and a long list of critical systems that had to 'just work' from launch. They also needed to migrate global business applications onto the new environment while staying compliant, secure and highly available for medical staff in multiple locations.
We designed and implemented a full network and security architecture, including routers, switches, server infrastructure, next‑generation firewalls and load‑balanced application delivery. Our team ran rigorous proof‑of‑concepts, stress‑tested competing solutions and showed why a separated, modular design was safer and more resilient than all‑in‑one boxes, especially for a single point of entry and access. We also rolled out SSL VPN to give authorised staff secure remote access into hospital systems.
Kings College Hospital Abu Dhabi launched with a modern, robust infrastructure capable of supporting global business apps and sensitive healthcare workloads. The final setup delivered high availability, strong protection against heavy usage and attacks, and a secure foundation the hospital can build on for years.
We acted as the technical partner responsible for network and security design validation, technology selection and solution demonstration, working hand‑in‑hand with client and vendor teams.
